Professor Chung-Cheng Huang earned both his L.L.M. degree and S.J.D. degree from Heidelberg University, Germany. His German publication, “Das Verhältnis von moralischem Diskurs und rechtlichem Diskurs bei Jürgen Habermas (The Relationship of Moral Discourse and Legal Discourse in Jürgen Habermas)”, was published by Duncker & Humblot in Germany.
He is devoted to the study of legal philosophy, because he believes the idea of law as a form of justice, which is represented by the concept of human rights in the contemporary world. Currently, Professor Huang focuses his study on the legal theory of Gustav Radbruch, which questions the proposition: “What is passed by legislative institutions is the law and must be followed,” and points out the validity of laws if the laws per se lead to a miscarriage of justice.
Professor Huang’s teaching method focuses on fostering students’ ability to learn systematically and think logically. He currently teaches constitutional law, jurisprudence, introduction to legal studies, and German law.
